All members and their guests are expected to conduct themselves as ladies and gentlemen while on the property. This is a private, family orientated club. All members will be required to act accordingly:
· Especially in the presence of women and children, we ask that all members refrain from vulgar humor or profanity.
· Any clothing with vulgar or profane depictions is not permitted.
· The owners and employees of this facility reserve the right to refuse service. Members and guests will not be over served alcohol.
· Illegal drugs of any kind are strictly forbidden.
· Alcohol not purchased on site is not permitted.
· Alcohol purchased in the club house is only allowed in the immediate vicinity of the club house (porches, dock, etc.).
· Alcohol is strictly forbidden from being brought anywhere near any range or course. This includes inside of vehicles at any range or course parking.
· The handling of firearms after consuming a drop of alcohol is strictly forbidden. This is a non- negotiable and zero tolerance rule, any member observed doing so will be escorted from the property and membership revoked. If a member’s guest is observed breaking this rule, they will both be escorted to the gate and the member will lose their membership. You are responsible for your guests.
UNFORGIVABLE OFFENSES
1. Any alcohol related incident. A single sip of alcohol is the end of shooting for the day.
Period.
2. After hours shooting. We are a daylight only club. Thursday night skeet and trap or a sanctioned event are the only time a member may shoot after daylight.
3. The willful destruction of anything on the property. No member will shoot anything at this club that is not specifically designed to be shot at, with your bullet ending up in a berm.
4. The shooting of any wildlife. You may occasionally see a deer, hog, or turkey on the 500yd range. It is strictly forbidden to shoot at any living thing on club premises.
5. Allowing underage/unlicensed minor to operate sporting clay carts.
Any member that commits one of these infractions will have their membership revoked.
You must ensure that every round fired stops in a berm.
· No handling of firearms or bow and arrow after alcohol has been consumed. This is a non- negotiable and zero tolerance rule. Any member or guest observed breaking this rule will immediately be escorted from the premises and membership revoked.
· Eye and ear protection must be worn on all ranges and courses, regardless of whether or not you are shooting. Someone else’s brass can still cause an injury.
· Treat every firearm as if it is loaded at all times.
· All firearms will be unloaded when transported from vehicles to ranges and back to vehicles.
· Never point a firearm at anyone. Do not point a firearm at anything you do not want to destroy. This includes BB guns and pellet guns at the children’s range. Teach your children proper firearm safety from the start.
· Know how your firearm operates and ensure that you have the compatible ammunition for it. If you aren’t sure of either, ask someone. A fellow member or an employee of the club will be glad to help.
· Keep fingers off of triggers and out of the trigger guards until you are aiming at your desired target.
· On the skeet and sporting clay courses, all shotguns shall be carried unloaded between stands with the actions open on pumps and semi-autos and barrels broke open on over/under and side by sides. Shotguns will only be loaded on stand when it’s your turn.
· Never be out of physical contact with your child while they are in the possession of a firearm. It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your child and others. This means that you must be able to place your hand on your child, or the gun, the entire time the child has a gun in their possession.
· When firing semi-automatic guns with ejectors, please try to keep your brass from hitting the person sitting next to you.
· We are not concerned about rapid fire; however, we are very concerned about accuracy. Only fire your gun as rapidly as you are capable of hitting your target in the desired manner (meaning your bullet hits the berms, nowhere else). If you are observed walking rounds up the berms, you will be asked to stop and slow down so as to prevent that.
· Whenever a gun is uncased, it will be on a shooting bench pointed down range. Guns unloaded in cases will be allowed on the benches behind the shooting tables.
· Any member can and shall call a “CEASE FIRE” whenever they see a situation that warrants it. Upon hearing the call of “CEASE FIRE” all shooters must unload their firearms and consider the range “COLD” until the situation is resolved and the range is called “HOT”.
NO FIREARMS WILL BE TOUCHED WHEN THE RANGE IS COLD
· Upon entering a range you must ascertain whether it is “HOT” (firing and handling firearms) or “COLD” (not firing or handling firearms). Just because no one is shooting does not mean the range is “COLD”. Find out upon entering. You must communicate with your fellow shooters.
· When a range goes cold all firearms will be unloaded and placed on safe with chambers open. Do not touch your firearm while the range is cold. Do not adjust your scope. Do not insert or remove your magazine. Do not piddle with lasers or lights or iron sights.
· Do not uncase your firearm on any range while it is cold. Wait until your range is hot to handle your firearm.
· While the terms “HOT” and “COLD” will be strictly adhered to, it should be a general consensus when coming to the frequency and durations of these states. Each range will differ. The pistol range usually being a bit more frequent and shorter periods, the 500 yard being less frequent and longer periods. The group that is shooting should all be in agreement and work it out amongst themselves like gentlemen and ladies. Once called, they will be followed. However, the term “CEASE FIRE” is non-negotiable. Upon hearing “CEASE FIRE”, firearms will not be fired. They will be unloaded until the reason for the call is resolved and “HOT” is called.
One of our biggest concerns at the club is the possible ricochet of a round off of the ground.
If you are shooting a rifle or a pistol you must place your targets at a height that ensures every single round goes into a berm, every single time.
A few examples of rules that help contain and prevent ricochets;
· No pistols on any rifle range.
· Members will only utilize the metal bases and wooden sticks that we provide for hanging their targets from.
· No real estate/political signs. They are too low to the ground.
· The shooting of anything on the ground. Shooting anything on the ground is strictly forbidden. No member may bring anything to shoot on the ground. (Bowling pins, milk jugs, pumpkins, soda cans, etc.)
· In tactical bays place targets as close to the berms as possible.
· On the 500yd range the CLOSEST you may place a target is the 200yd berm.
· Personal steel may only be used on the 500yd range, the tactical bays, and at 100yds and 100 meters on the two rifle ranges.
· Personal steel must be immaculate (No dimples, pitting, or holes).
· All personal steel must be hung in a manner that upon being hit by the bullet it deflects it to the ground directly beneath the steel (Hung from straps, chains, etc.)
· No leaning of any steel against a berm.
· Personal steel is NOT allowed on the two covered pistol ranges.
· Every rifle and pistol range has two trash cans.
· One is clearly labeled “trash”, and one is clearly labeled “brass”.
· Please don’t put trash in the brass can.
· Please don’t put brass in the trash can.
· You may pick up your own brass. You may not pick up someone else’s brass. You may not take any brass from the brass cans. We recycle our brass and it helps pay the employees.
· If you do not reload, please sweep up after shooting and place your brass in the “brass” can.
Any member in good standing may bring a guest any time they’d like, however… you are responsible for your guest’s safety and actions at all times. You must be with your guest at all times while on club property. You may not allow your guest to shoot at any range while you are elsewhere on the property. Guests may NOT come to the club without the member present.
· Never be out of physical contact with your child while they are in the possession of a firearm. It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your child and others. This means that you must be able to place your hand on your child, or the gun, the entire time the child has a gun in their possession.
· Teenagers who would like to shoot without adult supervision MUST contact Toby prior to shooting.
· Carts: Only licensed, insured drivers are allowed to drive the carts. Parents will be held responsible for any damages.
· In case of an accidental shooting, call 911 and inform the operator that there has been an ACCIDENTAL shooting. We want to alert law enforcement and emergency services that they are not responding to an active shooter situation to allow for a quick response.
· Location of First Aid Kits: Bathroom broom closets, Clubhouse back porch and Safety Officer Cart.
· Bathrooms can be found in the following locations: Clubhouse, Skeet Fields and directly across from Tactical Bay #5.
· If the Bathrooms are in an unsatisfactory condition please contact Toby.
Skeet, Trap, Five Stand and Sporting clays
· For all Clay courses and Fields - the rules are the same. No more than two rounds are loaded into any shotgun, ever. You may not load your gun until it is your turn and you are on station. All shotguns will be broke open or receivers locked open when going from stand to stand.
· There is absolutely no shooting of #6’s or anything larger on the skeet fields. You may only shoot #7 ½’s, #8’s, and #9’s on the skeet fields.
· If any clay throwing machine is not working properly DO NOT attempt to fix it on your own. Please text or call the number on the sign (posted at every machine) and explain the issue to Jared. If you don’t report it, we don’t know there is a problem!
· You must obtain a pre-paid Clays card for utilizing our automated clays system. This is not your gate card. You can only obtain a pre-paid Clay cards in the Pro shop when it is open on Thursday afternoons and the weekends. Once you have obtained your card there are two ways to put money on it - 1.) Pro shop when it’s open and 2.) Utilize the kiosk on the back porch of the clubhouse.
· Carts are available for rent for $10. You must swipe your Clays card to rent a cart. Carts are located behind the clubhouse.
· Carts are only to be used for Sporting Clays and 5 Stand. Please return your cart after use so that the carts are available for other members.
Kids/.22 Range
1. .22 long rifle ammunition only (unless during a club sanctioned class with an instructor.)
2. If any piece of a moving steel target doesn’t seem to be working properly please dispose of it. (.22 caliber projectiles are capable of ricocheting horribly.)
3. You may only place targets past the railroad timbers on this range, to prevent ground ricochet.
4. Enforce range safety and etiquette with your child. Please ensure that your child is wearing all of the appropriate personal protective equipment.
1. Must use the target framing provided.
2. Only slugs from shotguns, all birdshot or buckshot must be fired in a tactical bay to prevent ground ricochet.
3. Shotguns may only shoot slugs on rifle ranges.
4. No AR Pistols.
5. NO PISTOLS.
6. No targets on the ground.
7. Every round fired MUST end up safely in a berm 100% of the time.
1. All rifles to be used on the 500yd range will be shot on the 100yard/meter ranges first to ensure accuracy. This will need to be done every time a rifle has had any type of work done or if the gun has been dropped, jarred, or any other reason to believe that the scope might be off.
2. It is your responsibility to ensure that every round fired at the 500yd range goes into a berm. Every time.
3. NO PISTOLS.
4. The first berm at 200yds is the closest you may place a target due to ground ricochet.
5. NO RAPID FIRE AT THE 500YD RANGE. This is the only range that rapid fire is not allowed.
6. There will be no shooting of any green tip ammo or armor piercing ammo at any of the steel provided.
7. There will be no shooting of any incendiary rounds, tracers, or Tannerite on this or any other range at this club.
8. No 50BMG at this or any other range at this club.
9. A red flag up designates the range as “COLD”.
10. If you are shooting steel please paint the steel.

12. No shooting at anything alive. Steel plates or paper, that is all
13. Please be mindful of your brass hitting the person next to you.
14. You must have the 500yd orientation before utilizing the range. If you have not had the 500yd orientation please contact Toby to schedule it.
1. Pistols only. No long guns. While there is no inherent danger involved in shooting a long gun on a pistol range, there is limited space on the pistol ranges and you can’t shoot a pistol on a rifle range because of ground ricochet.
2. Must use target frames provided.
3. There is no drawing from a holster on any covered range. This may only be done in tactical bays.
4. You may only shoot as fast as you can accurately hit your intended targets.
5. Every round fired must go into a berm. Every time. No exceptions.
1. No matter what you’re training for or which sport you are practicing (IDPA, 3 gun, etc.), target placement is paramount. All targets must be placed so that projectiles hit the berms.
2. You may only shoot as fast as you can accurately hit your intended targets.
3. No Shooting from outside of side berms and when advancing deeper into bay do not break the 180 degree plane with your fire arm.
4. Drawing from a holster and reholstering a loaded pistol can be inherently dangerous. The tactical bays are the only place this is allowed. All members must receive the orientation for utilizing a tactical bay before doing so. If you have not been through an orientation you MUST contact Toby before utilizing a tactical bay.
1. No broad-heads. FIELD TIPS ONLY.
2. No sky-drawing. You must be pointing at the ground or your target while drawing. Because of the proximity to other ranges, an accidental release of any arrow pointed up could have serious repercussions.
1. No gas motors. Electric trolling motors or paddle power only.
2. All members are welcome to bring their own water craft (john boats, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, etc.) to fish from.
3. The pond is catch and release only. Please take care of the fish and try to release them as healthy and quickly as possible. If a hook is deep down a fish’s throat please cut the line and release it, the hook will rust out with much less damage to the fish this way. Snap a quick pic if you want, but please get the fish back in the water as soon as possible.
· Safety is every member’s responsibility.
· If you see something, say something.
· Most people will appreciate a friendly reminder.
· If you feel the need to say something to another member about a rule infraction, please do so politely.
· If another member feels the need to say something to you that is safety related, please respond politely. We all make mistakes now and then. Do not get your feelings hurt or let your ego get in the way. This is no place for an altercation.
· If anyone does not feel safe by the action of another member and can’t come to a resolution politely, please notify one of the owners or an employee immediately.
· Rude or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. Whether you are right or wrong.
· Emergency/Accident procedures will be reviewed at every new member orientation. For any reminders regarding emergency procedures please call Toby.
Members are more than welcome to bring their Gun Dogs out for training, on and around the pond, with a few requirements:
1. The club is a great place to work on your dog’s ability to mark, hand signals, and retrieving skills. It is not the place to teach your dog manners (come, sit, stay, heel) off of the lead. If you are not in 100% control of your animal, it is not to be off the lead (leash).
2. No animals inside the clubhouse.
3. 100% of all dog fights at this club are avoidable. There is absolutely no reason for your dog to be roaming free, whether other dogs are present or not. If you are not engaged in training, your dog should be kenneled or in the bed of your truck or vehicle. If this one simple rule is followed, there will be no fights resulting in injury and/or dogs being hit by vehicles.
4. Members are responsible for their dog’s waste (poop). No one hiking or fishing around the pond wants to step in that, please clean up after them. This is yet another reason why no dog should be roaming freely around the clubhouse.
5. A lot of people like to bring their dogs around skeet/sporting clays, teaching them to mark a flying object and correlate the pointing of the barrel and subsequent “boom” to the object being hit. The only safety concern in this situation is that the dog is always on a lead and someone holds that lead while you shoot and vice versa. Having your dog’s lead underfoot, attached to your waist, or around your wrist while shooting is dangerous. If the dog breaks on the shot, it could result in serious injury or death to yourself, someone else, or your animal.
6. No dog is to be loose near any firing range for obvious reasons.
While the old saying is true…“It’s rude to yell at another man’s dog”, We believe it is ruder to give someone a reason to yell at your dog
